    Performance artist, musician, writer and LGBT activist

    Are you interested in queerness or balancing different identities or do you think that human rights, art and activism are important?

    Then you can’t miss Katlego Kolanyane-Kesupile speaking having the talk - "United Apart: Implications of Digital Access for Social Justice & Activism Today."" at our online event on September 1st “Shape your future in 5 m^2”.

    Katlego Kolanyane-Kesupile is a transgender ARTivist, communications specialist and human rights practitioner from Botswana, who is the first Motswana to become a TED fellow.  Over a 10 year career, she has operated as a diversity and inclusion facilitator, performance artist, theatre producer, publicist, writer, educator, designer and ARTivist. Katlego is a published author, holds an MA Human Rights, Culture, and Social Justice (Goldsmiths, UK) and is a leading advocate for LGBTQI+ matters in Botswana

    She is the founder and artistic director of the Queer Shorts Showcase Festival, author of "…on about the same old things" and a globally performed playwright with a vested interest in the development of LGBT+ inclusive cultures in Africa.

    Despite being a school dropout, she forged an education via libraries and free online courses, pursuing a dream to cultivate potential in others.

    Through education, she seeks to inspire young entrepreneurs struggling against the violence and crime of the Kampala slums.

    Dyana Wing So is a multitalented person who is an artist, photographer, historian, researcher of creativity at work, and a mind-mapping enthusiast, currently based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

    She is doing her master's degree in Global Markets, Local Creativities at Erasmus University Rotterdam, at University of Glasgow and Barcelona.

    She did her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Pennsylvania and did several courses at Yale and Cornell University.

    She has also been active in international relations and fine arts. She is an excellent photographer and a communication and marketing positions from semi-corporates to non-profits, from Philadelphia to Barcelona.

    Barry Schwartz
    Professor of Psychology at Swarthmore and published author

    Do you think the link between economics, science and society is interesting? Then I believe you have to listen to our following speaker Barry Schwartz.

    Barry Schwartz was born in 1946. He is a psychologist with a BA and a PhD in psychology from New York University and the University of Pennsylvania. Schwartz currently works as a professor of social theory and social action at Swarthmore College. He also studies the link between economics and psychology.

    Schwartz has published several books such as the TED Book “Why We Work” and has held several TedTalks such as “The paradox of choice”, “Our loss of wisdom” and so on. He publishes editorials in The New York Times and in his published books you can find a critique of modern western society and psychological plagues we go through today.

    For example, he has written about that “greater choice is for the greater good” isn’t maybe for the greater good and that the abundance of choice in the western world is making us miserable. The human psyche is getting paralyzed and exhausted from the abundance of choice. This makes societies where people have more freedom and are offered more choices to also witness more depression.

    Uma Rudd Tan
    Founder The Female Idea, Best Selling Author, Awarded Creative Director, Global Keynote Speaker, Notorious Rule Breaker.

    Time to present our following speaker, Uma Rudd Tan, from Singapore.

    Uma Rudd Tan has got an M.A. in Digital Media Management from Hyper Island and started working as a political journalist and feature writer/editor at The Star –Malaysia's leading English daily. She is co-creator of Reading PANTSTM and was part of two best selling Christian acapella albums.

    Tan is experienced in a lot of things such as integrated advertising, digital innovation, and marketing. Besides that she has experience with leading teams to strategize, create and execute through-the-line and digital concepts for a variety of brands.

    Tan is a creative director, a creative problem solver and a natural researcher of creative content with passion for theology. Regarding experience in her career she has worked for both local and international agencies in Singapore. She loves new ideas and new challenges in the digital media. She blogs about many topics such as disruption, existentialism, God, physics, space and education. Besides blogging she has also, recently written 2 books called

    Joon Yun
    Korean-American physician, hedge-fund manager and investo

    We would like to welcome our next speaker Dr. Joon Yun the president and managing partner of Palo Alto Investors LP, a health hedge fund.

    Yun studied at Harvard College and the Duke University School of Medicine. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Harvard and from Duke he got his Doctor of Medicine degree. Yun also completed his fellowship and residency in radiology from Stanford Hospital and served on the clinical faculty at Stanford in 6 years.

    Currently he is a trustee of the Salk Institute and a member of the President’s Circle of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. In 2013 Yun launched the $1 million Palo Alto Longevity Prize with his wife but also donated $2 million to launch the National Academy of Medicine Aging and Longevity Grand Challenge.

    Saeid Esmaeilzadeh
    CANCELLED - Serial entrepreneur, board member and chemist

    Our next speaker is Saeid Esmaeilzadeh who was born in 1974. Saeid has a PhD in inorganic chemistry from Stockholm University. He is a serial entrepreneur being the CEO and the Co-Founder of the business Group Serendipity Innovations AB, founder of Hidden Dreams, founder of Spartacus Capital. He was a board member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) from 2012-2015.

    Esmaeilzadeh has received several awards such as the 2008 Chemistry Technology Prize (Kemiteknikpris), from Sveriges Kemiingenjörers Riksförening. He was also awarded, together with Ashkan Pouya, the H.M King Carl XVI Gustaf "Innovative Pioneer of the Year" award. Esmaeilzadeh has also won “Stockholmer of the Month”, “Entrepreneur of the Year, Region Stockholm". He is to say the least an inspiring, hardworking and smart entrepreneur who is disrupting multiple areas.
